- The Tang dynasty had bad emperors. The last one totally ingored state affairs and indulged himself in the beaty of his concubine(mate).
- Tsung fell in love with a woman and An Li-Shan, had a quarrel with that woman's brother which caused a war to break out, the fighting went on for eight years.
- The central government was never the same and the Tang could no longer control the generals along the border, these generals withheld tax money and eventually created kingdoms from the land they were to protect.
- Emperor Xuanzong fell in love with a woman who took advantage of this power and brought the downfall of his rule and the rising of another man(Generals) ruling. The government of this dynasty was alway corrupt and weak.
- The dynasty ended in because of a civil war over who should be the emperor. The dynasty never recovered and slowly dies within 100 years.
- The T’ang are closely associated with the Sui, and are often discussed as the same dynasty
- Horses were incredibly important, and grew in numbers steadily until there were 700,000 horses on record. The horse was the only way to fight the nomads
